In short, article marketing is increasing the exposure to your business by way of publishing articles on your area
of expertise. So, in effect, what you do is you write an article about your speciality and you publish it with
your
name and where you can be contacted.

With the advent of the Internet article marketing has taken on a new element. Now, via your own website, you easily
become a “self-published” writer, by writing articles and posted them on your website. Unlike articles that you
write for others, this type of article marketing takes a particular special skill. On the one hand, you don't need
to give as much exposure as to where you can be located, as the person reading your material already knows that! On
the other hand, writing for the web means employing special skills. The reason why this is the case is because
search engines tend to look for spam articles, while at the same time looking for particular keywords in an
article. As such, to ensure your website receives a high ranking, you need to make sure that you use the right
keywords, that you place them at the right intervals, but at the same ensure that the overall article is content
rich and reader friendly, otherwise your website will likely not receive a high ranking.

Actually, yes, anyone can put in place a successful article marketing strategy. However, there are some important
aspects of article marketing that you do need to consider. The following are just a few:

article in as many places as possible, always redirecting the reader back to your website. If at all possible,
avoid any “exclusive” publication deals when publishing on the web.
